We often witness people experiencing distress. Some find solace in it, believing it is their only reality. But what if we can shift our perspective and mold our lives into the shape we desire? What if there was a way to elevate our consciousness and unlock our true potential?

In this episode, Jen talks with Hal Elrod, Founder and CEO of The Miracle Morning, motivational speaker, and author. At age 20, a drunk driver hit Hal’s car head-on at over 70 miles per hour. He died for six minutes, broke 11 bones, suffered permanent brain damage, and was told by doctors that he would never walk again. Then, at age 37, he was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer. After being given a 30% chance of surviving, Hal once again defied the odds to beat it. His journey is featured in his most recent project, ”The Miracle Morning” movie. This documentary shows you how to live to your full potential and highlights stories of ordinary people doing the extraordinary.

With a mission to elevate the consciousness of humanity one morning at a time, Hal speaks with Jen about the six best practices for personal development and how to elevate your day and take control of your mindset to achieve your goals.

Quotes

[07:30] – “Your reality is made of two metaphorical pages. One page lists everything you have to feel bad about. Call it the painful page. Then one thing lists everything you have to feel good about. Call it the peaceful page or the pleasurable page.” ~ Hal Elrod

[07:45] – “People who are distraught, negative, and complaining often justify their complaining by looking at their painful page. But the page you focus on determines the quality of your life. You can be miserable, or you can be happy with the exact same life that you’re living.” ~ Hal Elrod

[21:28] – “My mission is for all of us to have a daily personal development ritual that is structured, strategic, intentional, and proven to accelerate our level of personal development so that we can create the success we want in our lives.” ~ Hal Elrod
